Do you find yourself on a vicious cycle of starting and stopping different diet and exercise programs?
It’s ok. You’re not alone.
99% of the women I coach have made honest attempts in the past to eat better and exercise more only to throw the towel in a couple weeks or months later.
And I have to confess, I too am guilty of trying all different kinds diets and exercise programs to feel healthier and be more fit.
But I NEVER stuck with anything!
And it wasn’t until I made a mental shift, where I realized that there is no silver bullet and that I had to make a lifestyle change, that I actually achieved lasting results.
I wanted to eat healthy, but in a way that didn’t make me feel deprived like I was on a diet.
I wanted to make exercise part of my daily routine without feeling like I had to kill myself at the gym every day.
I think we all realize that we need to be more consistent when it comes to eating healthy and exercising more regularly if we want to feel good.
But the challenge for most of us is that we don’t really know how to set realistic and achievable goals.
We try to change too much too fast.
And when we realize that the changes we’re trying to make are NOT sustainable, we get stressed out and tired, and our will power and motivation goes right out the window.
My friend and Client of the Month, Maureen O’Donnell, is no stranger to this unhealthy cycle.
Like so many other women, she’s tried a whole bunch of different fad health programs with little to no success.
She’d start off all gung-ho for the first couple of months.
She’d be really good—she’d eat really well, she’d exercise every day.
But then she’d get tired, and tell herself I can’t do this!
She realized that this all-or-nothing approach just didn’t work for her.
It wasn’t until Maureen learned about my coaching program that she saw a solution to breaking this cycle of on-again-off-again dieting and exercising, and actually getting the results that she wanted.
What she liked most about my approach is how the changes that she made were gradual.
She didn’t feel the pressure to change her whole lifestyle all at once.
And after making really SIMPLE changes in her lifestyle and setting more realistic goals around eating better and making time to exercise, here’s how she’s feeling:
She has A LOT more energy.
She’s MOTIVATED to exercise regularly (before starting my program she would just come home from work each day, and sit on the couch all night.)
Her skin is much SOFTER—she doesn’t have any dry patches anymore.
She’s SLEEPING through the night.
She’s LOST 15 pounds, AND two inches off her hips, her butt and her waist.
And most importantly, she’s feeling good about MAKING TIME for herself!
Maureen is truly a testament to how good you can feel—and STAY that way—when you choose to get off the roller coaster ride of trying different crash health programs and instead make a true lifestyle change.
